RuoJie Yu
RuoJie Yu's main creative direction is visual photography, design and video. The visual art photography project "Photo Without Photoshop" aims to explore the surreal photography style of constructing a photographic scene and shooting through the lens only without the technical support of Photoshop software, directly outputting the specialised and fictionalised visual effects, and transforming the real into the imaginary visual language for expression. The visual language is transformed and expressed. The latest series "Flower For Fragility" and "Out of the blue" are also an extension of this project, discussing the relationship between ambiguity and presence in still photography. The relationship between ambiguity and presence in still photography is discussed in more depth.
These photographs are seen in a way that no one else would normally see them, and by stopping for a moment that only they can see, they become an interesting window through which the viewer's curiosity arises: what is this image? The process of asking this question inescapably generates self-sufficiency, a new dimension that the two-dimensional flat image can bring about, generating reactions and generating power through visual inputs and outputs in the practice of contemporary art.
Photography and video works have been exhibited in Three Shadows Gallery, Beijing, "Narrator" and "PHO PHO FAIR".
