Ray Han
Ray Han, an emerging artist, born in 1990, graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tongji University, his works are permeated with a kind of abstract expression that strips away the identity of the characters. In Ray Han's early portraits, the expressions of the characters are flat valves cut off from their individual identities. Because of the absence of the five senses, his portraits do not even activate our facial recognition blocks, but only serve as flat graphic elements for a kind of spatial oath of sovereignty.
The abstract expression of these figures implies that we actually live in a huge narrative system created by imagination, which is a deep reflection on the way people perceive themselves and a return to the collective memory of the bottom of human nature.
