David Chan Born in Singapore in 1979,graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University. Since his first solo exhibition at the age of 25, he has gained much acclaim and attention, and has exhibited all over the world, including in New York, the Singapore Art Museum, Beijing, Shanghai and other fine art institutions, and has been invited to the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei, and his works have achieved outstanding results in the auction market. He has been invited by Gucci to create illustration advertisements, and is one of the well-known contemporary artists in Asia.
His works are based on bright colours and realistic depictions of animals, combined with human behaviours, reflecting the various issues arising from the ecological and social changes faced by global organisms.
